In Award Force, you can share both scores and comments—or comments only, including internal comments—between judges within a score set.
Share scores and comments
- In the Manage workspace, go to Judging > Settings > Score sets
- Click the score set you want to update or select New score set to create one
- Open the 'Display' tab
- Under 'Share scores', select the score set(s) where judges can see each other's scores and comments
- Click Save
- Next, go to Settings > Users > Roles
- Select the role assigned to judges for this stage (often ‘Judge’)
- Set Scores (others) View to Allow
- Click Save
Judges will see the score matrix in the right-hand column of each entry, below attachments. The matrix displays each judge’s scores and comments.
Share comments only
To allow judges to see each other’s comments without sharing scores:
- Go to the Manage workspace and open Judging > Settings > Score sets
- Select the relevant score set or create a new one
- Open the 'Display' tab
- Under 'Commenting', select Comment on entry invited and Users can see each others' comments on this score set
- Click Save
- Go to Settings > Users > Roles
- Select the judge role
- Set Scores (others) View to Allow
- Click Save
Show the score matrix to some judges only
If you want only certain judges—such as lead judges or a chairperson—to see the score matrix, adjust permissions on their user roles.
Any judge who needs access to the score matrix must have Scores (others) View set to Allow. You can assign a specific role to selected judges or create a custom judge role with this permission.
Good to know
- Scores and comments can only be shown when a judging round is active.
- We recommend locking judge scores after five minutes—or using a separate viewing-only judging round—to help prevent bias.
- Files uploaded by judges as part of their comments are shared with other judges.
- Custom user roles are available on the Pro plan and above.
