Can entrants edit submitted entries?

By default, entrants can edit their entries at any time before the entry round closes. This includes entries that are in progress or already submitted. If you prefer to prevent edits after submission, you can lock the entry form once an entry has been submitted.

Lock entries after submission

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Settings > Entries > Form settings
  2. Open the 'Advanced' tab
  3. Select the Form locked when submitted checkbox
  4. Click Save

Once enabled, entrants will no longer be able to edit entries after they have been submitted. If an entrant needs to update a submitted entry, a program manager can return the entry to in progress; see Revert an entry to in progress.

Good to know

  • By default, entrants can edit entries until the entry round closes. If the entry round has already closed, you can reopen it via Settings > Entries > Rounds.
  • Changing the round date will reopen the round for all entrants.
  • Locking the form prevents editing only after submission.
  • To allow editing for only one entry, configure a custom entry deadline; see Ultimate guide to rounds.
