The Judging fast start is a setup tool that helps you configure judging in a few guided steps.
It walks you through:
- Selecting a judging mode
- Creating scoring criteria (for VIP judging)
- Choosing entries to evaluate
- Selecting or inviting judges
- Assigning a judging round
To get started:
- In the Manage workspace, go to Judging > Manage
- Click Judging fast start
Step 1: choose a judging mode
Select one of the following:
- Qualifying
- Top pick
- VIP judging
- Voting
- Gallery
Enter a name for your judging stage.
Step 2: set scoring criteria (VIP judging only)
- Add scoring labels
- Set minimum and maximum scores
- Use Advanced to configure increments or weights
Step 3: select entries
Choose which entries to include by selecting:
- Categories
- Chapters
- Tags
Step 4: select judges
Choose how to assign judges:
- Any users with a role: assign all users with selected roles
- Invited judges: select specific users
- Add judges: invite new users by email
- Optionally, select Add myself to the panel to test your setup
Step 5: select a judging round
- Choose an existing judging round
- Or click New judging round to create one
Finish setup
- Click Finish to save
- Click Manage judging to open the judging dashboard
Good to know
- You can move between steps before clicking Finish.
- Default names (for example, “VIP judging 1”) can be edited later.
- You can update individual settings after configuration via Judging > Settings.
- Roles selected in judging will automatically receive required permissions. This does not apply to the guest role.
