Ultimate guide to home page configuration

In its most basic form, your program's home page is where users log into or register for the platform. Award Force offers you the flexibility to configure this page using a variety of different options to display your branding, highlight a category, give access to a public gallery, and more.

Enabling/disabling registration

For those that are just beginning the configuration journey, you may wish to disable registration of new users. You can easily toggle registrations off and on by deselecting or selecting the Enable user registration checkbox in Settings > Users > Registration of the Manage workspace.

For more detailed information on registration setup, see our Configure registration guide.

3rd party authentication

You may wish for users to log in or register with a social platform like Facebook, Twitter, or WordPress or even through the use of your organisation's SAML or SSO. To add 3rd party authentication to your account, check out the steps outlined in our dedicated article: 3rd party authentication

Configure branding

Note: theme customisation varies by subscription level. To view a full breakdown of your theming options, see our guides:

The home page of your program can be configured to include a home logo, a background image, a footer image, and colours to meet your branding needs. Each of these elements can be customised via Settings > General > Theme in the Manage workspace.

Note: a slight loss of image quality may occur when assets are uploaded due to optimisation. This is to guarantee that your account quickly loads across any number of device types and sizes.

Home logo (desktop)

Use

This is the logo users will see when navigating to your program's URL on a desktop computer or large tablet.

Using the available Horizontal align home logo drop-down, you can choose whether this logo image is aligned to the left, centre, or right of the page.

Note: the home logo image is not scaled and will appear in the exact size of the file uploaded. Depending on browser proportions, some cropping of the image may occur. This cropping is unavoidable as browser dimensions are controlled by the end-user.

Content blocks

There are two primary content blocks that can display on your program's home page, the 'Home page description' and 'Home header info box'. The 'Home page description' content block comes configured with placeholder content when your account is created. These content blocks can be edited (or added) via Settings > Content > Content blocks of the Manage workspace.
