If your program requires entrants to send in a physical product as part of their online entry, you can configure a packing slip. Entrants can download and print this slip to include with their shipment, making it easier for you to match physical items with the correct entry.
Configure packing slip
Packing slips are configured per category so you can create different versions for different categories.
- In the Manage workspace, go to Settings > Entries > Categories
- Click on the name of a category
- Go to the 'Delivery' tab
- Select PDF packing slip available for submitted entries in this category
- Add your packing slip instructions and apply any formatting or merge fields needed
- Click Save
Download packing slip
For entrants
Entrants can download the packing slip from the Enter workspace under Entries. A download button appears beneath each submitted entry.
For program managers
Program managers can download the packing slip from the Manage workspace by going to Entries, opening an entry, and selecting Packing slip.
QR code
Each packing slip includes a QR code. Scanning the code with a smartphone takes you directly to the corresponding entry in the Manage workspace.
This can be used to quickly update the entry—for example, by applying a tag to show that the physical product has been received.
Good to know
- Packing slips are only available for submitted entries.
- If you use custom merge fields based on slugs, these must be updated each season.
- Place merge fields used for multi-line text or tables on their own line for correct formatting.
- If your smartphone does not have a QR scanner, you can download one from your app store.
