The Award Force leaderboard provides a bird’s-eye view of your program’s judging results. It is the primary place for reviewing scores, decisions, and outcomes across judging stages.
You can access the leaderboard from the Manage workspace by navigating to Judging > Leaderboard.
What does the leaderboard include?
By default, the leaderboard displays a list of entries showing:
- Entry ID and name
- Chapter and category
- Judge progress for the selected score set
- Results ordered from highest to lowest score, votes, or decisions
Depending on the judging mode used, an additional column is shown, such as:
- Score for VIP judging
- Consensus for Qualifying
- Votes for Voting
You can customise the view by selecting the cog icon and adding extra columns. For more on filtering and searching, see How to search and filter.
How is the leaderboard typically used?
The leaderboard is most commonly used to identify shortlisted entries, finalists, or winners, and to progress entries to subsequent judging stages.
Entries are ordered by default from highest to lowest result. You can reorder results by selecting a column heading.
Because Award Force does not enforce fixed judging outcomes, you decide how results are interpreted. Tags are then applied to entries to record outcomes and drive next steps, such as:
- Progressing entries to another judging stage
- Awarding badges, certificates, or documents
- Controlling which entries appear in galleries
Progress entries to another stage of judging
- In the Manage workspace, navigate to Judging > Leaderboard
- Select the checkboxes next to the entries you want to progress
- Select Tag
- Enter the tag you want to apply
- Select Tag
- Navigate to Judging > Settings > Panels
- Create a new panel
- In the 'Entries' section, select the tag you just applied
- Configure the remaining panel settings
- Select Save
For detailed guidance, see Moving entries between judging stages and selecting winners.
How do I know the results are accurate?
Changes to judging panels or scoring criteria can temporarily cause discrepancies in the leaderboard. When this happens, you can recalculate results using the button at the bottom of the page.
The label of the button depends on the judging mode:
- Recalculate decisions for Qualifying judging
- Recalculate picks for Top pick judging
- Recalculate scores for VIP judging
- Recalculate votes for Voting
For more information, see Leaderboard showing incorrect scores/decisions.
Can I see a granular breakdown of judge scores/decisions?
Yes. Select an entry’s name or ID from the leaderboard to open the manager’s view of the entry. The 'Judge' tab displays a matrix showing individual judge scores or decisions.
In VIP judging, scores in progress are marked with the letter P.
Can other users see the leaderboard?
You can grant leaderboard access to roles other than program managers by updating role permissions.
- In the Manage workspace, navigate to Settings > Users > Roles
- Select an existing role or create a new one
- Select Advanced
- Set Chapters Create and View to Allow
- Set Entries (others) View to Allow
- Set Scores (others) View to Allow
- Select Save
Users with this role will then see Judging > Leaderboard in their navigation.
Can I hide entries from the leaderboard?
Yes. Entries can be archived to remove them from active views while keeping the data intact. This is useful for decluttering the leaderboard once outcomes are final.
To learn more, see Archiving entries.
Good to know
- The leaderboard is not restricted by judging panels or assignments. Users with leaderboard access can see results for all entries.
- Granting leaderboard access also provides access to the Entries page in the Manage workspace.
- Archived entries can still be included in judging if configured to do so.
