Manually trigger and manage review tasks

Configuring review tasks is only the first step. Once tasks are active, you may need to manage them in different ways—including manually triggering a stage, deleting tasks, reassigning reviewers, or resetting decisions.

Manually trigger a review stage

If a review stage is not configured to start automatically on entry submission, you can trigger it manually. This is useful when you want to start a review stage at a specific time.

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Entries
  2. Locate the entry or entries you want to trigger the review stage for
  3. Select the checkbox next to each entry
  4. Open the Action drop-down
  5. Select Initiate review stage
  6. Choose the correct review stage from the drop-down
  7. Click Initiate review stage

Delete a review task

Review tasks can be deleted individually or in bulk. This is commonly used to clean up test tasks or remove tasks that are no longer required.

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Review flow > Manage tasks
  2. Select the checkbox next to the task or tasks you want to delete
  3. Open the Action drop-down
  4. Select Delete

Reassign a review task

If a reviewer is unable to complete their task, you can reassign it to another manager.

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Review flow > Manage tasks
  2. Click the ellipsis (three dots) next to the task you want to reassign
  3. Select Reassign reviewer
  4. Choose a new reviewer from the drop-down
  5. Select a notification to send if required
  6. Click Reassign reviewer

Reset a review task decision

If a reviewer selects the wrong decision, you can reset the task so it can be completed again.

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Review flow > Manage tasks
  2. Select the checkbox next to the task you want to reset
  3. Open the Action drop-down
  4. Select Reset decision

Good to know

  • Review tasks can be triggered, deleted, reassigned, or reset individually or in bulk.
  • Reassignment is limited to managers within the account.
  • Review tasks assigned to referees cannot be re-triggered from the Entries view.
  • Referee review tasks can be resent by editing the entry and selecting Resend request.
