Inviting an entrant to complete a pre-created entry

Program managers can invite users to complete an entry that has been created for them. You can also set a custom entry deadline, allowing the entrant to submit outside of your standard entry round. This is useful for users who need additional time due to special circumstances.

Invite an entrant

Before you begin, ensure that the user has been added to your program; see Adding users.

  1. In the Manage workspace, go to Users or Entries
  2. Select the checkbox next to the desired user(s) or entry/entries
  3. Open the Action drop-down
  4. Click Invite entrant
  5. In the pop-up, select the chapter and/or category
  6. (Optional) Enter a message
  7. (Optional) Set a custom entry deadline
  8. Select a notification
  9. Click Invite entrants

Once completed, the entrant will receive a notification. The entry will appear in their Enter workspace where they can complete and submit the entry.

Good to know

  • Custom entry deadlines allow submission outside the standard entry round.
  • If no notification is configured, an error will appear when inviting entrants. To resolve this, create a notification with the ‘Entry invited’ trigger.
  • You can invite multiple entrants or entries at once.
  • Entrants must already exist in your program before they can be invited.
