Auto-tagging

Tagging entries is a great way to manage entries, however, sometimes there are known events where you want a tag, or multiple tags, added to entries based on an event that just occurred, such as an entry being submitted, archived, or endorsed by a third-party.

Auto-tagging allows you to do just that, to apply a specific tag based on an action!

Important: Tags may contain sensitive information and are not shown to judges or entrants.

How do I auto-tag an entry?

Automatically adding a tag to entries based on events is easy to setup. Here's how...

  1. Go to Settings > Tags
  2. Create a new tag and give it a name
    • Or click on an existing tag you want to automatically add to entries
  3. In the 'Automatically apply tag when' list, select the action/event you want
    • This will be the event that will trigger the action of applying the tag to entries when the event happens
  4. Click Save.

Now, based on the auto-tag you have just set up, the tag will be automatically added to any entry where the selected event has occurred.

Example: The following configuration will add the tag whenever any entry is manually archived by a Program or Chapter manager
