Award Force does not have a registered US entity and therefore doesn't need to have a W-9 form. However, we can provide you with our W-8BEN-E (or W8), which is the appropriate form for Award Force as a foreign entity.
Please email email@example.com for a copy of this form.
Why do you digitally sign your forms?
We have a company policy against unnecessary printing. Support for eSigning documents is key to this.
The US Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service provides W8 forms in a format prepared for Adobe eSigning.
We believe if that is good enough for the US Department of the Treasury, it is good enough for us and for our clients.
There seems to be some discrepancy with the Foreign TIN between your invoice and the W8 paperwork?
The equivalent of a TIN for Australian corporations is a Tax File Number (TFN), which is what is provided on W8.
The identifier on our invoice is our Australian Business Number (ABN), which is a publicly searchable identifier. Australian tax law requires the ABN be shown on invoices.
TFN is only used for identification and engagement with the tax office.
